A young hobbit called Frodo inherits a powerful magic ring. In the wrong hands, the ring of power could destroy Middle-Earth as he knows it. Joined by his friends and a mysterious ranger, Frodo journeys to Rivendell where a fellowship is formed: vowing to take the ring to Mordor where it can be destroyed once and for all. The Fellowship of the Ring is the first installment of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It is helmed by visionary director Peter Jackson and adapted from J. R. R. Tolkien’s fantasy novel of the same name.
